Karoshi 2.0 – a challenge to a seasoned gamer

·

A few days ago… Or maybe a couple of weeks already… oh.O In general, I was once looking through our local blogs as usual out of idle curiosity and then came across a short entry about logical platformer called Karoshi 2.0. I don’t know whose post it was. Honestly, I was looking, I wanted to plus everything I could reach, but I couldn’t find it. So, huge respect to that unknown friend… In general, I downloaded the toy then and forgot about it for a while. And then I remembered.

I’ve been familiar with computer games for fifteen years, no less. And I shoveled a lot of them during this time. I’m already unaccustomed to the feeling of amazement that such entertainment can cause. All algorithms, techniques and gameplay laws are recognizable. And even what at first glance could be called original – in fact, also obeys a certain pattern. I have become too demanding of games, so I can say with peace of mind about every second one that it is “shit”.

VVVVVV – the last game that was able to touch me and bring back the good old feeling of hardcore and tangible crystallized gameplay. But we’re not talking about VVVVVV now… I just remembered.

So, Karoshi. Game of the Absurd. She begins to amaze from the first level and never tires of adding more with each subsequent one. I will not give examples and use them to describe the gameplay, so as not to spoil your impression. The gameplay so deftly balances on the edge of logic and contradictions that sometimes you are truly surprised by the sharp mind of the creator, Jesse Venbrux.

There are also laws here, but they are not homogeneous and not systematized. The game often simply makes fun of all those gaming habits and stereotypes that we don’t even notice anymore – we’re so used to them. Karoshi slaps the player and says with a grin: “Eh, buddy, you’re completely stagnant. Shake yourself up, look at the situation differently. Don’t be so predictable!»

It’s a shame that this game will appeal only to those who are already quite tired of the mainstream and want to be truly surprised by something special, and not “obviously amazing”.

So here’s the link. Download version 2.0, first of all. You can watch the rest later if you want. If you want to go through the whole game on your own, then be patient, as I guarantee you that there will be bottlenecks and “nerves”. But what a pleasure you get when you finally overcome the next “impossible” level..

When I inserted the top song from the “simple player”, I noticed an advertisement in the corner:

So, if in the https://casinobof.uk/bonus/ world there were Karoshi 2.0 if such a picture came across and you clicked on it, then I’m sure that your breasts would really begin to grow… perhaps for you personally… or maybe you would die. Well logic, I say 😉

And as an example of a pleasant unusualness:

(There was a Flash player, but since 2020 Flash is not supported by browsers)

By the way, I passed level 48 myself. And they’re scaring people everywhere on the Internet that it’s almost impossible.

Something’s wrong with you. IN Braid beautiful, intuitive puzzles. After racking your brain a little, you can decide absolutely all problems. Maybe I didn’t have enough patience?

played. passed. The bosses at the end are damn, of course yes, the author has a perverted mind, just like mine) Only I’m for the GG angel at the end when a billion titles stupidly chose the heart, and if you jump on the spikes? And by the way, who is scary at level 48 and why?? It was the easiest one for me among the last ones. You stupidly wait for the bass to almost knock over the box and run under it. Or did I do something wrong

I’m already unaccustomed to the feeling of amazement that such entertainment can cause. All algorithms, techniques and gameplay laws are recognizable. And even what at first glance could be called original – in fact, also obeys a certain pattern. I’ve become too picky about games

So, huge respect to that unknown friend..

Thank you, Gleb, for your kind words =)))

By the way, Super Karoshi is not bad, but there is less absurdity there than in 2.0

Z.Y. I always knew that the authors’ blog attracts more attention, maybe people will understand that PR in games is not the main thing, but the main thing is that, although it’s simple, it’s a brilliant filling =))

What I didn’t like about Braid was that you understood how to solve the puzzle, but to solve it you need to do the nth number of jumps and press the shift key that very second, which is quite annoying.

I have become too demanding of games, so I can say with peace of mind about every second one that it is “shit”.

mane ni nravitsa is a game. Grfa fucking baaaaaaay! mane likes cal of duty 6 hde nada russkikh machit! and this one is Gavon!
*in the background*
-uh, those who allowed me to climb my sites!
-forgive me!
-what a horror, I went out to put the kettle on for 2 minutes and then it’s on you! digarodian friend climbs into blogs!
Hmm… sooooo! not Gleb, I’ll be honest, I respect you, now let’s go with all these call of duty battlefields. everyone has already forgotten about those games, about the founders of the genre! For example, I prefer to go to a friend who has an EXCELLENT computer and who at the same time has a Sega mega drive.
-to mane?
-No
and play not all of his call of duty and assassins creeds, but play good old mortal kombat for example. ehhh.

by the way (sorry for the triple post). but I was glad that the point here is in puzzles, and not in perversions with puzzles, such as in Braid. Well, I just can’t even get through the beginning of it, but here it’s somehow normal

This is what I mean by perversions with puzzles. For example, I want to try to do this, but the game tells me “Do this, but also do a lot of mandatory manipulations, then maybe you will see the result, bad or good,” as if I were in a physics class and the teacher asks me everything in detail so that I understand the meaning of this physical law. This is a game, I don’t need to understand everything thoroughly, I need to relax in it.

Friend, play once with a walkthrough. I assure you that you will enjoy the game and there will be no frustration 😉
